Ville de Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, - The Honorable Phillip J. Jones, Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, has pledged Louisiana's participation in the annual Tremblant International Blues Festival for the fourth year running. This year, the festival will take place for ten days, from July 8th to 17th. This renewed partnership is excellent news for Tremblant, which is looking forward to adding extra Cajun flavor to the tenth edition of this popular event. "We are proud to be associated with such a significant partner as Louisiana because of its vibrant culture, its legendary music and its French heritage. Thanks to its participation, the 10th annual edition of the Festival promises to be historic! ", declared Michel Aubin, President of Station Mont-Tremblant.
Tremblant and Louisiana put out the punch!
The State of Louisiana, which celebrates its bicentennial this year, will be showing off its true colors throughout the frenzied days of celebrations. "We are thrilled to contribute to this large-scale event and to provide Quebecers and guests from around the world, who come to the Tremblant International Blues Festival, the opportunity to experience the riches of the Louisiana culture. Knowing the enthusiasm and professionalism of the people of Tremblant, we are confident that the event will be a resounding success ", stated the Honorable Phillip J. Jones during his visit to Tremblant last February 12. As sponsor and contributor to the Festival, Louisiana will bring its distinctive touch to the resort: an entire section of Old Tremblant will be officially declared a Louisiana bayou with ambiance and all… all, that is, except for the alligators. Many thematic meals are also on the menu.
One full day of the Festival will be dedicated exclusively to Louisiana and will feature its artists on every stage. Reputable chefs will be on-site to tantalize the tastes buds with the intense flavors typical of this spicy culture. Music and food will combine to offer a simply euphoric experience!
Furthermore, everyone is invited to participate in the Mardi Gras parade which will take place on specific evenings. Louisiana will also have a kiosk on-site.
